These pictures all come from friendly outside sources: Ann Bannon, another author who was kind enough to send the pics of her and Babara at book-signing, Elaine Normandy's Five Acres and a View site, and from Robin Schindler, Barbara's friend, who also wrote the attached captions of the first few pictures. This picture is from a hiking trip she and I took in the Santa Monica Mountains in spring 1996. This first one is on the trail to Skull Rock in Temescal Canyon, near Pacific Palisades.

This last photo was taken in Solstice Canyon, a riparian woodland in Malibu. It's a beautiful hike and she and I will have to do it again next spring.
